Now heres a spectacular offering that is truely a one of a kind fossil! Now let me explain why you will not want to miss out on this specimen. Not only is this a vertebra with a complete sail spine from one of the contemporaries of the famous Dimetrodon known as the Edaphosaurus, spines from experience are always ULTRA FRAGILE and they always BREAK for me in shipping and handling. This particular piece fixes the biggest issue with this kind of fossil as it is affixed to a matrix piece meaning now there is no worry about having a spine that always breaks super easily when moving it around or having it arrive to you in broken pieces that are difficult to repair back. This one you can impressively display proudly in your collection without worry! This fossil was found in the Permian age (280 million year old) Ryan Formation near Waurika Oklahoma and has only 1-2% restoration. The presence of the nodes on the spine is what distinguishes this from a spine section of Dimetrodon.
