Here is a large partial shell from the very rare and famous heteromorph ammonite Didymoceras from the the Upper Cretaceous, Fox Hills Formation, Pierre Shale of South Dakota. A nicely detailed piece of a fossil that would be worth several thousand dollars if it was complete. So heres a great way to own a nice piece of one at a fraction of that price. This specimen even has some slight opalesence preserved in the right lighting.
