This a Scaphites sp. ammonite in a concretion from a very rare unique site. These come from a very small privately owned area in South Dakota along the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation, The site/source is no longer accessible nor is there a similar one like this in the region. Unlike most specimens from this site it doesnt have much Iridescence to warrant a video but what it lacks in shine it makes up for in size and contrast between the shell and surrounding concretion. Don't miss out on this unique Scaphites, when I run out there will be no more.
