Here is a very cool piece! A giant sized partial skeleton in a nice size chunk of matrix of a fossilized Trimerorhachis. This fossil was found in the Permian age (280 million year old) Ryan Formation near Waurika Oklahoma.
The skeleton is disarticulated and contains various elements such as a big piece of the skull, jaws, leg bones, toe bones, and various other disarticulated bone elements that can potentially be prepped out to reveal further. Trimerorhachis was an early form of temnospondyl that could reach about 1 meter in length. It had a distinctive triangular shaped head full of sharp, pointy teeth. It was likely an aquatic predator, preying on fish and small vertebrates.
