Here is a huge and nice specimen of a Jurassic aged fossil squid known as Plesioteuthis Prisca from the famous Solnhofen limestone, which is a Lagerstätte in Germany that offers amazing preservation of Upper Jurassic fossils. It is where one of the most famous fossils of all time, Archaeopteryx was found! Larged sized squid fossils are not commonly offered from this famous locality. Also this specimen is free from having carved false tentacles/body or having them falsely painted on unlike some other squid fossils I have seen here.
