true once in a lifetime holy grail fossil here, a staggering record size megalodon shark tooth fossil measuring 7 1/16 inches onnits longest size! Any tooth over 7 inches is an abnormal size and there is less than a handful of these found in the entire world sifting through countless thousands of huge teeth, making it among one of the rarest fossils in the world.
As with the few 7 inch teeth ever offered publicly this is a restored tooth. The restoration work was done by Christian Hunt the best in the world in megalodon repair for 100% natural accuracy. This tooth was found broken measuring a staggering 5.5 inches! missing about 1.5 inches of the tip which was restored back on. Work was less than half and done on the missing 1.5 inches of the tip, most of the enamel on the front, and on the serrations. All natural 7 inch megalodon have never been offered on the market, out the few (accurately restored and not extended) restored 7 inch teeth out there this stands out as of one the best and most accurately done in the world. The last picture shows this tooth compared to a research quality replica of the current record holder for the world's largest megalodon tooth on display at the blackhills institute, if not for the wierd root it has, the tooth currently listed for sale would have been longer, but the blade is still larger than the world record holder from Peru!
