A chunky dermal armor spike from Sauropelta Edwardsii, an armored dinosaur found in the late cretaceous Cloverly formation of Wyoming. Home of Deinonychus and a place you don't see material coming out of due to the scaricity of the formation. An extremely rare piece for the rare dinosaur collector! And one of my last pieces from this species that will be offered for sale. Originally found weathering out the piece had been coated in areas to keep it together and make it sturdy for display.
